Assistant Coach - Competitive Travelling
Position Reports to: Program Coordinator, Traveling Teams
Term : Seasonal
Honorarium: $700 to $1 700 based on years of experience and certifications, paid semi-annually

Job Summary
The Assistant Coach is responsible for providing quality coaching and leadership to the team. This includes, individualized coaching to athletes, assisting the head coach in drill design and execution, perform auxiliary tasks during games such as video recording or tracking stats, etc.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Providing feedback and instruction to athletes during practice
- Assistant Coaching tournaments and games
- Continued coach development
- Completing auxiliary tasks such as video and stats
Essential Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of competitive coaching
Competencies & Skills
- Mastery of various coaching & learning theories and strategies - To help athletes develop their abilities, a coach needs to know and be to implement the latest science-based coaching & learning theories
- Clear and effective communication - Effective communication is key to ensuring athlete role satisfaction
Education
- NCCP Development Coach Certification is preferred
- NCCP Advanced Development Coach is an asset
Language
- Bilingual (English, French) - Asset

Compensation
