General Manager, Regional Training Centre
Position Reports to: Program Coordinator, RTC Program
Term : Seasonal
Salary: 35-40$/hour - Approximately 4-6 hours per week

The Maverick Volleyball Club serves Ottawa and its surrounding communities in providing our youth with high-quality volleyball programs. Our Club takes pride in our successful track record of promoting and fostering leadership, organizational, team, and life skills for the benefit of its members.
Key Responsibilities:
The RTC General Manager is responsible for the smooth operations of a Regional Training Centre. This includes planning practices, coaching athletes, mentoring coaches, planning and monitoring internal competition as well as administrative duties.
The Regional Training Centre is a 12-week regional program that combines centre training, team training and competition. Athletes together for the first 4 weeks after which they are put on squads. These squads practice together and compete against each other. Each squad has their own coach and assistant coach. The General Manager oversees the entire centre.
The GM is responsible for the following:
- Design an athlete development plan based on the level of athletes.
- Ensure that each practice is planned based on the development plan.
- Attend practices/competition to coach athletes.
- Attend practices/competition to mentor coaches.
- Manage internal competition schedule and results as well as events.
- Manage coach communication, attendance and timesheets.
- Communicate with athletes and parents.
Competencies & Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of volleyball technical and tactical concepts
- Leadership and Mentorship
- Collaboration
- Knowledge of official competition rules & protocols
- Communication Skills
- Ability to use and/or learn communication and timesheet software
Preferred Experience:
- 5 years of coaching experience and/or NCCP DEV coaching certification
- NCCP Advanced DEV coaching certification
- Experience working in a centre training approach
- Bilingual (English/French)

Compensation
$30.00 per hour
